DEPUTY LOGISTICS HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization working in more than 40 countries in the fields of nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene, and care practices. ACF is looking for its program in Jordan for Deputy Logistic Head of Department.
Work place: Amman, with frequest visits to all Jordanian Governerates.
Monthly GrossSalary Range: (2042) JOD
Assignment:
Assist the Logistics Head of Department in his work. Be responsible for supervising the logistics and animating the teams in the absence of the Logistics Head of Department.
Objective 1 : Assist the Logistics Head of Department:
Activities :
Replace the Logistics HoD (Coordinator) when absent;Identify, measure and master potential risks to staff and property.Follow up the security context and keep up to date the security monitoring tools.Organize training workshops on different logistics and security themes according to the needs identified by the Logistics HoD.Replace provisionally or assist the logisticians on the base if needed.Organize and follow up a good archiving system
Objective 2 : Supervise the management of teams with the Logistics Head of Department according to the division of tasks:
Responsibilities :
Supervise the chain of supplies at mission level, with a special focus on Framework agreements.Directly manage the supplies of international ordersOverlook (and for most of them directly participate in) tenders.Supervise the assets and phone lines management (directly managed by the ICT Manager).Supervise the fleet management and challenge the use and needs of the vehicles at base level.Prepare the monthly logistics report, to submit to the HoD logistics.
Objective 3 : Maintain contact with the administration & finance:
Activities :
Follow up on staff recruitment and actively participate to the process.Together with the procurement team, make sure that the procurement files are properly closed and archived; with a special focus on coordination between Finance and Logistics archives.Ensure contracts (especially premises) are checked by the lawyer prior to signature.
Diploma / Level of studies : High School Leaving Certificate +2 years’ higher training in logistics or equivalent level
Required Skills
Experience in humanitarian work – Experience in management and security evaluation – Good organizer – Good analytical capacity – Rigor – Team spirit – Capacity to communicate with others and good human relations – Computer knowledge (Word – Excel) – Perfect command of English.
