Project civil engineer

JEN, a Japanese Emergency NGO working in Syrian refugees’ assistance in Jordan is seeking to recruit a well- experienced Project civil engineer to work in infrastructure projects implemented in Zaatari camp -mafraq.

Responsibilities:

Job title: Project engineer

Monitor and supervise construction activities by proactively problem solving in the field.

Evaluate the need for scope changes and communicate them to the Network Coordinator as necessary.

Verify consultant and contractor safety and quality systems and performance in the field.

Implement construction planning initiatives in coordination with consultant and contractor.

Validate quantity survey assessment based on consultant recommendations.

Ensure construction work plans and shop drawings are completed and inclusive of existing services and community and SRAD needs.

Approve shop drawings in coordination with the Consultant.

Qualifications:

University degree in Civil Engineering;

Minimum 4 years' experience in infrastructure projects;

Proven ability to develop and produce civil engineering; drawings including experience with AutoCAD or other software.

Fluency in English and Arabic, both oral and written is required;

Ability to work in multi-cultural environment.

Experience

with international organizations is preferable;

Time management skills and working under pressure;

Salary will be determined based on experience
