Position Title: ECD program Sports leaders
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
WVI Early Childhood Development Program aims to utilize football and Different Sports through innovative, collaborative, and socially responsible programs. WVJ aims to create a better life for the children and youth living in the Azraq Camp by stimulating joy and unity to prevent the occurrence of conflict and violence utilizing football and sports. Sports recreational and support activities will play an important role in helping children and youth respond to the challenges posed by their displacement, and the impact of the conflict in Syria on their lives.
Under the overall supervision of the Play Spaces Coordinator, ECD program Sports leaders will be responsible to support Syrian refugee children to have access to safe protective environments and to bring together children and Caregivers from different backgrounds and with different experiences to play together. The ECD Program Sports Leaders are going to do the field work like collecting data and arranging field schedule and logistics, beside conduct training sessions for ECD Play Spaces Volunteers and arranging the activities schedule with providing creative activities.
Major Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, facilitation and implementation of the project activities in the ECD Play Spaces.
Preparing ECD Play Spaces sports activities and schedule.
Provide the Play Spaces Coordinator with needed procurement requests.
Maintain programmatic accountability for program activities including data collection for evaluation, record keeping of activities.
Facilitate efficient and timely implementation of planned activities by all relevant ECD Play Spaces teams.
Work closely with the ECD Play Spaces Supervisors and Coaches.
Any other duty as assigned by the Play Spaces Coordinator
Education:
Diploma or university Degree in related field.
Experience:
At Least two-years’ experience working in leading and coaching sports events and activities.
Knowledge & Skills:
· Ability and willingness to work in the field.
· Ability to work individually and in a team
· Attention to detail
· Time management skills
· High level of commitment to working hours .
Excellent communication and co-operation skills.
Ability to cope and work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package.
Good understanding for the camp context and ECD requirements.
Very good knowledge of child protection.
