Primary Duties and Responsibilities In accordance with Agency policy and procedure, the incumbent as a member of the Family Health Team (FHT) where assigned: · Performs nursing activities required for child care, pre-conception care, antenatal care, post-natal care, diabetic and hypertensive cases including screening and health education activities; · Carries out nursing tasks related to school health activities including vaccination, height and weight measurement, vision and hearing screening where applicable; · Conducts home-visits for growth retarded, anemic, defaulting bedridden/disabled patients; · Keeps adequate recording of received and used supplies needed for the nursing activities in her/his assigned working station; · Maintains a high standard of infection control to ensure safety of staff and clients; · Complies with all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment; · Provides services through the electronic medical records system (E-Health), including data entry and proper recording; · Performs such other duties as may be required. Minimum Qualifications · Full secondary education; · Completion of a two-year diploma in nursing from a recognized institution. · Possession of a license to practice nursing services (where applicable). · At least two years’ experience in a similar role; · Experience in the use of computers and an understanding of their use in health applications. Language Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic. Competencies · Good communication skills and maintains effective working relationships with staff and clients; · Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and cope with heavy workload; · Adequate computer skills; · Self-motivated and shows willingness to learn from others. · Acts in accordance with the professional ethics and values. Equivalency When the minimum requirements are not fully met, the concerned Director may exceptionally substitute part of the unmet requirements with a combination of relevant academic qualifications, additional professional training and progressive relevant work experience. NB: Work experience alone or formal qualifications with no relevant work experience are not considered an acceptable combination.
