ROLE PURPOSE:
Primary responsibilities of the accountant include timely submission of accounts / financial statements to the local authorities with the help of external service providers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Local Accounting & Compliance
Manage ad-hoc submissions to the regulatory authorities.
Liaising with internal / cross function employees to gather information to be submitted to external accountants / auditors.
Liaising with other Aspen offices to gather information to be submitted to external accountants / auditors.
Liaising with external parties to gather information to be submitted to external accountants / auditors.
Perform reconciliations between transactions booked by Aspen and external accountants/service providers.
Perform reconciliations between IFRS and Local GAAP.
Ensuring accuracy and completeness of the information provided to the local KPMG offices, so that submission deadlines are met.
Organisation of financial closing process
Preparation and submission of accounts / financial statements to the local authorities in multiple countries with the help of KPMG on a timely basis.
Coordinate / assist KPMG with preparation of local accounts / financial statements as per local laws / GAAP
Organisation of internal and external audits
Assist with the internal and external audits
Work on settings for local accounting on SAP and create internal processes
Review and approve master data from a compliance perspective
Ensure that all accounting related processes are compliant with local GAAPs, IFRS, HUB- & Group policies
Manage accounting process, guidelines, policies & SOP’s from a compliance perspective
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master’s Degree – M.COM/MBA/CA – Professional qualification will be given preference
3-5 Years in Accounting – Worked in an Audit/ MNC/ Pharma company, in a competitive environment, able to handle pressure, attention to detail.
Chartered Accountant with 3-4 years’ experience preferably in a Big 4.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Knowledge of ERP implementation – Intermediate
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: proficiency in Microsoft Excel – Intermediate – Advanced
BI tool / Sap experience – Intermediate – Advanced
Independently handled the Accounting Function of medium size enterprise – Advanced – Ability to act and operate independently with minimal direction from superior to accomplish objectives.
