١ ) HR Officer
ORGANIZATIONAL DESCRIPTION
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Since 2007, IRC has worked with refugees and other vulnerable populations in Jordan. IRC’s programs in Jordan focus on urban interventions in the north that address gender-based violence specifically violence against women and girls for Syrian refugees and host community members as well as reproductive health care to Syrian refugees through two clinics based in Ramtha and Mafraq. Since January 2013, IRC also carries out Child Protection programs in Syrian refugee camps, providing specialized services for the identification, support and protection of unaccompanied children (UAC) and other children at risk.
Scope of work
The HR Officer is responsible for day-to-day HR & Administrative requirements, functions and general office management at IRC Field office.
Specific Responsibilities:
The HR Officer is responsible for the following tasks:
• Implement IRC’ National and ensure all Generalist HR activities are carried-out in adherence to the standard ensuring IRC’s compliance with all labor laws, and minimizing legal exposure.
• Manage all HR functions for national staff in Mafraq, including, but not limited to, Orientation, Contract administration, Benefits, Insurance, Changes in status, Over time, Leaves, Performance Management and Termination.
• Supervise maintenance of up-to-date leave tracking record for all National staff.
• Provide assistance to supervisors in determining appropriate disciplinary plan of action.
• Manage employee relations with professional grace; Liaising with Field HR Manager as necessary, lead or advise on investigations to resolve issues/conflict in the workplace and provide recommendations.
• Lead the exit clearance process by conducting exit interviews for all leavers to ensure seamless and positive transition for departing employee
• Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive HR information at all times.
• Responsible for following with hiring managers in regard of new Joiners Objecives & End of Probation Period.
• Assist & Help the HR Team in Recruiment, Phone Screening, Arrang interviews, and attend them with the HM if needed.
• Liaise with the HR office in Amman in regards to staff contracts, ATCs and all other documents related to recruitment.
• Assist the HR department in organizing staff training sessions, workshops and activities
• Document control for all HR filing system and catalogue HR materials; maintain reference library.
• Perform other job related tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Job Requirements
• University Degree in management, Busniess administration or any related fields.
• Above 3 years of professional experience in Administration/Office Management.
• Professional HR & Administration experience preferably with an INGO.
• Strong sense of personal integrity.
• Additional qualities: ability to multitask, ability to handle pressure well, ability to improvise, flexibility, cultural and environmental sensitivity.
• Team work skills.
• Experience and knowledge of recruitment process and practice.
• Top-tier written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent management, interpersonal and negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to promote harmonious/cohesive teamwork, in a cross cultural context.
• A commitment to IRC’s mission and vision.
• Very strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
Working Environment:
The position is based in Mafraq; with standard office work environment.

Background
The Syria crisis is often described as the worst humanitarian catastrophe since the end of the Cold War. Inside Syria, 7.6 million people are internally displaced and 12.2 million are in need of humanitarian assistance, with 4.8 million in hard-to-reach areas. There are 3.8 million Syrian refugees in neighboring countries. This is no short-term humanitarian episode. The devastating human consequences to huge numbers of people will endure for decades. The destruction of relationships, communities, livelihoods, homes and infrastructure will take years to repair.
IRC is offering a robust humanitarian response to the Syria crisis with an annual budget in excess of $140 million and a rapidly expanding portfolio, supported by more than 1,250 staff in the region. IRC is undertaking programs in Syria and the neighboring countries of Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan in the fields of health, child protection, education, women’s protection and empowerment, NFI and food distribution, cash assistance, water and sanitation, and livelihood programming. Scope of work
The HR Assistant is responsible for day-to-day HR & administrative requirements, functions and general office management of the IRC HR office and to assist the HR Team in all related HR & Admin functions.
Specific Responsibilities:
The HR Assistant is responsible for the following tasks:
Assist & Help the HR Team in day to day tasks, and any clerical work as needed such as (Filing, Organizing, Planning, Collecting Signatures, and others).Assist in Arranging IRC orientation every month for the new joiners in Amman’s Office.Collect and Verify timesheets for national and international staff and track them monthly.Prepare personal and e personal files for Staff include printing, collecting and verifying supporting documents for all new hires including issuing IDs and supporting in additions to medical and life insurance.Assist the HR department in organizing staff training sessions, workshops and activities including but not limited to booking meeting rooms, printing materials, logistics planning, necessary preparations for food and beverage and any other related organizing matters.Document control for all HR filing system and catalogue HR materials, the HR assistant is responsible for maintaining a well-organized up to date filing system for all staff.Prepare and Track letters (such as Employment Letters, Experience Letters, Salary Transfers Letters, Change of Status Letters) to staff when needed.Prepare payment and purchase requests when needed.Contacting staff based on need for following up, signatories, feedback or any other HR related matters. Maintain Confidentiality of all Sensitive HR Information at all times.Present the HR department be positive and approachable.Following up on signatures for all HR related Documents on a timely manner.Perform other job related tasks as requested by the HR Manager.

Job Requirements:
