is recruiting for its project in Irbid

Nurses

CONTEXT

Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Médecins Sans Frontières  is running a Maternity, an ANC, a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Irbid and is seeking Nurses.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• He/She provides a good quality of care to the patients of the Maternity, according to the standards of professional nursing practice and MSF policies and procedures
• He/She ensures and organises nursing activities for patients in accordance with the context, MSF protocols and with universal hygiene standards, taking into consideration quality and continuity of care
• He/She follows medical prescriptions
• He/She ensures the follow-up of patients and manages written and oral handovers
• He/She manages medicines and departmental material, under the supervision of the nursing supervisor

PROFILE

• Diploma or Bachelor in Registered  Nurse is required
• Required 2 years’ experience as registered nurse
• Experience in NICU is appreciated
• Experience in paediatrics emergency room  and intensive care unit is preferred
• Performs competently in emergency situations
• Organized and able to work under pressure
• Written and verbal fluency in English and Arabic is required
• Jordanian nationality

WORK LOCATION:           Irbid – Jordan

CONTRACT:                        Fixed term contract – Full Time – 3 months

Probable start date:       March 2018

CONTEXT

Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Médecins Sans Frontières is running an Ante Natal Consultation unit and is seeking a Practical Nurse.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• He/She ensures and organises the Ante Natal Consultation activities for patients in accordance with the context, MSF protocols and with universal hygiene standards, taking into consideration quality and continuity of care.
• He/She ensures comfort care to patients in accordance with doctors’ prescriptions.
• He/She monitors progress in the patients’ health status and refers them to the health care personnel on duty.
• He/She assists the doctors during procedures as needed.
• He/She follows admission criteria.

PROFILE

• 2 years Associated Nurse degree is required
• Required 2 years’ experience as Practical Nurse
• Organized and able to work under pressure
• Good communication skills
• Written and verbal basically in English required
• Jordanian nationality

WORK LOCATION:           Irbid – Jordan
