1) Finance Assistant
CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3 - the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Finance Assistan’s role is to prepare and record all type of financial transactions.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports toStaff directly reporting to this post
None
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Technical Expertise
Performing the full Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Preparation of the daily banking report, bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
Prepare, record, and enter all voucher information and properly file them.
Prepare Salaries, Health , Tax transactions through Agresso.
Track staff advance accounts and make sure they are settled on time.
Review all invoices before payment in accordance with SC procedures and ensure proper supporting documentation before payment
Assist in the preparation of the monthly finance report
Managing the SCA Credit Card process
Providing assistance for the SC year-end reporting and audit process
Undertake any other duty as reasonably requested by the Financial Officer
General
Ensures adherence to the Child Safeguarding Policy and reporting procedures
Ensure that the minimum standards of humanitarian relief are maintained in accordance with the Sphere Charter, the Red Cross Code of Conduct
Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of crisis or emergency.
Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

Competencies QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
University Degree in Accounting or Finance.
At least 1 years experience in accounting.
Understanding of financial systems and procedures.
Experience of modern financial and accounting software packages.
Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work alone and in a team.
Written and verbal fluency in English.
Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams.
Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Understanding of Save the Children's vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives.

2) Finance Officer / Accounting
CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3 - the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Finance Officer is responsible for the effective application of SC technical accounting, policies, reporting systems and internal financial control procedures across the Program.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Finance Manager
